Editable download for manuscripts and scans

When you're working with a manuscript or a scan, sometimes you want to add the final touches in your own editor.

What you get

A document with editable text placed over the original image. You can type over it, move things around as needed, and keep the visual reference of what the source document said.

How it works

In the Review step, choose the editable download. The file is generated on the spot and opens in any word processor.

When to use it

For documents with a very particular layout, or when you'd rather finish the job with your own tools without losing what the platform already transcribed.

FAQ

Can I move the text? Yes — each block is an independent element on top of the image.

Does the background image print? Yes, unless you remove it in your editor.

Does it work for multi-page documents? Yes — each page is delivered separately within the same file.
