Numbers and dates formatted for the destination country

A Colombian document writes 1.234,56 and a date like 25/12/2026. That same data, in a document bound for the United States, is written 1,234.56 and 12/25/2026. Before, you had to fix those conversions by hand, one by one, during review.

The same date and registration number, in each country's format

What the platform does now

When translating, numbers and dates are now rewritten to match the language and destination country conventions of the order:

  • Thousands and decimal separators.
  • Day, month, and year order.
  • Currency amount formatting.

Good to know

  • This is applied during translation, so it's already handled by the time you get to Review.
  • Identifiers are left untouched: a case number, an ID document number, or a verification code stays exactly as written, because in those cases the format is part of the data.
  • If a figure needs to stay exactly as it was, you can fix it in Review like any other text.

FAQ

What if the recipient wants the source country's format? Fix that figure in Review — whatever you edit by hand is kept exactly as you left it.

Does this affect documents already translated? No. It applies to new translations only.

What about currencies? The amount is written using the destination's conventions; the currency symbol or code itself isn't converted, since changing it would alter the data.
