Traducción pública argentina, the way the CTPCBA requires it

If you're a sworn translator (traductor público) in Argentina, the Traducción Pública — Argentina template now comes out as a true traducción pública: with the opening, the dashes and the closing formula used before the Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (CTPCBA).

EZDocu templates · Argentine public translation

What's changing

  • “TRADUCCIÓN PÚBLICA” opens the first page, underlined.
  • Dashes up to the margin at the end of each paragraph, and on both sides of centered headings.
  • Page number [1], [2]… small and centered in the footer.
  • Closing formula in Spanish, attached to the text: it states how many pages the translation has, in figures and in words, and the city and the date, with the day in words.
  • No EZDocu certificate: the closing formula is the certification.
  • Single-sided, with no back pages.
  • The translation follows the traducción pública style: one item per line, given names and surnames in CAPITAL LETTERS, notes in square brackets and forms written out line by line, without tables.

How it works

  1. In Formatting, under EZDocu templates, filter by Certified.
  2. Choose Traducción Pública — Argentina, in Arial 12 or Times New Roman 12, and click Add to my menu.
  3. When you create the order, turn on Apply a format and choose it.
  4. In Review, under Choose format, click the button with its name. Finish the order in PDF or in Word.

Good to know

  • The city in the closing comes from the address in the profile of the person who approves the translation. If there isn't one, a blank line is left so you can fill it in by hand.
  • In the Word file, the dashes are real text and look the same in Word and in Google Docs. If you later change a line, check its dashes.
  • If you had already added the template to your menu, your copy was updated automatically, except for anything you had changed yourself.

All the details are in Traducción pública argentina (CTPCBA).
