Margins, ruler and pagination in the editor, just like in Word

In Review you can now adjust the page as you would in Word: margins with one click or by dragging the ruler, in centimeters or inches, and decide what happens to the pages when the translation comes out shorter than the original.

Review editor with the format template

What's new

  • Margins: choose As in the original, Normal, Narrow, Moderate or Wide, or enter your own in Custom margins.... They apply to every page and can be undone with Ctrl+Z.
  • Ruler: drag its markers, above the page, to change the left or the right margin. You show or hide it with Show ruler.
  • in | cm: choose the unit for the ruler and the margins. By default, inches for Letter and Legal, and centimeters for every other paper size.
  • Pagination, in the translation step: Keep the original pages spreads the leftover space between the paragraphs; Fit to the target language lets the text flow, as in Word, and removes the leftover pages.
  • Scroll sync: when you scroll one panel, the other one moves too, page by page. It's on by default and one click turns it off.

Good to know

  • If the text doesn't fit with the new margins, a notice offers Adjust margins, which reduces them just enough.
  • The account's pagination is chosen in Settings, on the Translated document card. Each order can change it when it's created, with the Keep the original pages toggle.
  • Margins and the ruler belong to the editor for Options 2 and 3. In Option 1 you edit in Word, and with a format template the template sets the margins.

When to use it

When an agency asks for specific margins, when the translation comes out shorter and leaves half-empty pages, or when you want to compare the original and the translation without losing your place.
