Formats: your translation in the form each agency requires
Every professional association, court or agency asks for its own form: paper, margins, font, letterhead, page numbering, filler dashes and a closing formula. With Formatting you define it once in a template and your translation comes out that way, as one more option in Review: Option 4.

How it works
- Go to Formatting, in the side menu.
- Choose one of the EZDocu templates, based on real standards: the Argentine traducción pública, Spain's sworn translation, Peru's certified translation and pleading paper for California courts. Click Add to my menu, or Duplicate to adapt it.
- Or create your own with New template, or with Upload your Word to start from the format of one of your .docx files.
- When you create the order, turn on Apply a format and choose the template.
- In Review, under Choose format, click the button with its name.
What you can define
- Paper size, orientation, margins, font, line spacing and alignment.
- Header and footer with your logo, images and tables. The header can go on every page, on the first page only or on every page but the first.
- Page numbering (1, 2, 3 · Page 1 of N · 001), filler dashes and numbered lines for courts.
- The closing formula, with variables (languages, city, date, your name) and your signature and seal. It comes out exactly as you wrote it or translated into the target language.
- What the document takes from this template: Full format, Header and footer only, Header, footer and paper or Custom, to choose section by section what is kept from the original.
Good to know
- The editor's AI assistant adjusts the template live: ask it for “2 cm margins” or “Page numbers 1 of N”. Nothing is saved until you click Save.
- If both the original and the template have a header or footer, we ask you which one goes. If the translation takes up more pages than the original, you choose between shrinking the font (never below 85%) or continuing onto more pages.
- When you create the order, only pinned templates (Pin) appear. The one you mark with Set as default is preselected when you turn on Apply a format.
All the details are in Formats.
